A Super Good Week in Utah!!
So this week has been a dang good one!
I started out the week by jumping on my bed and it braking. Don't worry it made me feel so good about myself! I laughed so hard but right after I got up I threw away all my junk food, so that it wont happen again!
I started school on Tuesday last week! The days are really long but I love it! That's my really cool bag of hair things it is so heavy!
These are my shears! We have already had 2 hair cutting lessons! It is so much harder than you think. So if all of you could do me a favor and call up your hair dresser and thank them for all the great hair cuts you have gotten because honestly it is super easy to mess up!
Don't worry I am really not cutting Amy's hair I am just trying to look cool for all of you guys!
That is always my face when I get a hair cut! They make me so nervous!
So honestly I didn't really think I would have text books being in beauty school and all but I have 11! That is more than all 5 of my roommates and they all go to a university!
That is pretty much what I look like when they are teaching new stuff! hahaha
Amy and I studying... we are such good students!
These girls are becoming my new BFFs Miss Alexis (light brown hair) and Miss Kim (dark brown hair) I didn't name them they came with names!
These girls just love what I have done to there hair! So far it is only brush it! hahah
Don't worry I really don't talk to them.
Honestly this picture is me just being dumb! I put it on here so you guys know that I am still the same old Melanie.
Amy and I have become really close friends since we have moved up here and met some really cool people! One of them is Chels! She lives in Amy's apt. She is super cool I am so glad that we became friends!
Girls just being silly!
On Sunday afternoon I went to the Provo Temple with some friends. I really enjoyed my afternoon there.
As we pulled up I notice that there were a lot of people, but then I looked closer and there were not even joking like 200 missionaries honestly I was so scared that we weren't allowed to be there like I didn't know if it was special missionary day. But it wasn't and I just didn't talk to any of them which is a little extreme but I just didn't know what to do!

Happy Birthday!
So yesterday was my birthday and it was my first one away from home. When I first got here I thought that my birthday was going to be the hardest day for me... but it wasnt because of my wonderful roommates.
This is what I woke up too! My roommates Sam and Ash decorated the whole house for me so it would feel more like my birthday.

There was a couple "Happy Birthday" sighs up at our house.
Streamers and balloons were everywhere you looked.
Tons and tons of balloons!!!
Amy and I went out to lunch together to have a fun birthday lunch!!
Then later that night I had a little party. Pizza, games and junk food! hahaha
Some of the girls that came! I should of taken more pics but I was having so much fun that I forgot to do that.. sorry!
This is my amazing roommates Sam! She is a big reason why I love it here so much! We are becoming really close friends ( I am going to take more pictures of my roommates so that all of you can see who I live with now.) The boy is a new friend of mine his name is Kevin he is super nice!

When the party was about to be over my cousin William pulled out a cake and everyone sang to me. I was so embarrassed!!! But it was so fun!! I want to say thank you to everyone that helped make my birthday one I will remember for a long time!! I love all of you guy!!
P.S. I start school next tuesday and I am so excited!!!!

I miss being at home and chilling with the fam! Just messing around and having fun!!
I am so sad that I am missing a visit from Michael and Jennica and there family!! I love you guys! And cant wait for Christmas!!
I am going to miss sunday dinners and all the people who come over for them!! Thank you for encouraging me to follow my dreams!! I know I can count on you guys for anything!!
I am going to miss people knowing who I am!! How gay that sounds but it makes your life so much easier!
I am going to miss my friends!! I know that I will make friends up here but I will always love my friends I have known my whole life!!
Even though I am going to miss a lot of stuff I am excited about my new life!! I was a little nervous to go to a beauty school I had never seen before but I went the other day and fell in LOVE with it! I have never felt so excited to start school before! Everyone is super duper nice at Bon Losee!
This is my new room!! It is a lot smaller then my old one that for sure and I will have to keep it a lot cleaner too hahaha! But it is growing on me, it kinda feels like home.
My new closet hahaha I dont really have that much space but I think I can go shopping a couple more times before it gets full!!
So welcome to my new chapter in life!! I am excited and scared at the same time but I am pretty sure that is normal!! Thank you family for being there for me! I love you and miss you so much!! Please call me whenever you are bored! I still dont have school for another week and a half!!
Mom and Dad do so much!!! Say thank you to them as much as possible!! Even though i have only been here for a couple of days I have realized that they are pretty much BOMB!! They love us so much!!!!

Crazy Kirksville
For the past two weeks I have been in an interesting little town! I helped my sister Kristine and her family move here and it has been a very eye-opening experience!!
The flight to Kansas City was about 3 hours then we had another 2 hour drive to the town of Kirksville. The kids and I had a lot of fun hanging out with each other and watching movies on my laptop.
When we got to Kirksville we were able to meet the nicest Amish boys who helped us unload the moving truck. This was the first time that I had ever seen an Amish person before and I couldn't stop staring at them.
There isn't a whole lot to do in Kirksville, but it is true what the sign says. The people really do make the difference! Everyone that we met were really nice and very willing to help. It is a whole different world here, but it is a very beautiful place and I am sure that Kristine is going to love living here!
A few days after we got to Kirksville we were able to go to a state park that is about five miles away. It is called Thousand Hills and it is a very beautiful park with lots of trees and a huge lake in the middle of it. We had a picnic there but I refused to sit down because of all the disgusting bugs that are HUGE!! It was so stinkin hot that day but I refused to take off my jacket because I didn't want anything to be able to touch my skin!
That next Monday we took a rode trip to Nauvoo. This was the second time that I have been to Nauvoo and I had forgotten how miserable it can be when it is super humid outside and 100 degrees.
It was really nice going back there because it always makes me think about all that the pioneers went through just to be able to be members of the church and be sealed as a family in the temple. I love this temple and I love that everything in this temple they made exactly the same as when it was first built.
These heads are on display in the hunting section at the local Walmart. On one side of the wall you see these heads and the other side are a whole bunch of Amish people shopping for their groceries. I really wanted to take some pictures of them, but it is not allowed!!
KCOM stands for Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. They have water towers on every corner not joking!
This is the front entrance of Chuck's school. It is really nice inside with all of the state of the art things. There are even multi-million dollar dummies that they learn on instead of real humans that they can accidentally kill. I think that is a real good thing!!
This is another entrance that goes into the school's museum. It talks a lot about the founder of the school and shows the tools that they used over a hundred years ago. There is also an exhibit that shows all of the blood vessels in the body. When they dissected it they didn't damage a single one. There are only two others like this in the world. It is pretty disgusting!
I really enjoyed my two weeks in Kirksville and it really made me appreciate all the wonderful things that I will have in Utah! (like a Target and a normal grocery store!!) I am really going to miss being with my sister and her kids! Oh yeah, and I will miss you too Chuck, but I am getting really excited about heading off to Utah in about two weeks. Love you guys!! Miss you! Thanks for the fun times!!

You can see these signs on the side of the road like it is no big deal!!
I was thinking about it so me and Kristine would be neighbors, but Kristine convinced me not to.

Cluff Buddies!!
This is my first post and I thought it would be appropriate to write about some of the kids that are a really big part of my life! THE CLUFF KIDS! Most of you know that my sister is moving to Missouri and honestly it is killing me! Here are some of my very fond memories with these kids!
Megan's cute little face! I am so sad that I am going to miss watching this cute little baby grow up! She is pretty much the funnest kid i have ever met! My goal is to get Meg to learn how to say Mel! So that she can tell everyone who her favorite aunt is! hahaha
I am going to miss you so much and love you guys a lot! Please call me everyday I am going to be so lonely up in Utah all by myself! Remember guys you promised me that you wouldn't forget me! I am holding you to that!
